Here’s what you can expect.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to work with you. We are very excited to meet you and require a consultation for ALL new clients prior to (and separate from) your service appointment. Appointment bookings are exclusively done online (through Vagaro) for your convenience.

All you have to do is click ANY of the “BOOK NOW” buttons located on this website. This will take you directly to our online booking site where you can select the “new client consultation” option. Then simply select the date and time that works best for you.

You will then receive an email/text confirming your appointment and a reminder 3 days prior to your scheduled appointment. You may also log in anytime up to 24hrs. in advance to cancel or reschedule. ANY changes later than 24hrs must be made directly with the salon. Please refer to our “Polices & Procedure page for further information.

SALON LOCATION/DIRECTIONS:

We are very conveniently located at 163 West 22nd Street, NY, NY 10001 (bet. 6th & 7th Ave.) inside The Life of Riley NYC.

The salon is easily accessible by the following trains nearby: #1 train (7th Ave and 23rd street) or the M/F train (6th Ave. and 23rd street) or the C/E train (8th Ave. and 23rd street) or the R/W on Broadway and 23rd Street).

We are also a few short steps from Penn Station and NJ transit.

Depending on the day or time of your appointment you may receive a 4-digit code to gain access into the salon lobby (if your appt. is before 10am or after dark). We will provide you with that information in your confirmation email/text.

Once in the studio, we’ll get you seated and comfortable and we will get down to the business that brought you here!

CONSULTATION:

For your consultation appointment, we will ask you many questions and the main goal is simply to get to know you and for you to get to know us and to learn how we can best achieve your desired results. We are all about short and long-term planning and there are times that your desired results are not achievable in one sitting but during your consultation we will figure out the best way to get you there.

When you schedule a color service, we will mix a custom set of formulas just for you and we’ll always record it so it’s available for future visits and potential adjustments.

Your haircut will be customized to your personal preferences, lifestyle & overall goals. Styling tips & tricks will be shared because we always want you to be able to recreate your new look at home!

Finishing up the visit, we’ll discuss at home care and styling tools (if we haven’t already) and pre-book your next appointment. We’ll also lay out a maintenance plan, so you know exactly what to book for next time. We strongly recommend allowing 3 weeks lead time for all appointments over 2hrs. and because of this, pre-booking is strongly recommended.

Also, to add to your comfort level, we offer a variety of beverage selections, including coffee, tea, sparkling and tap water, hot chocolate and red & white wine which are always just a reach away! We also have chargers available for all cell phone types so you can leave fully charged!

Lastly, for your convenience we accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa Credit Card payments or Cash. Gratuity is preferred in cash but can be added to a card if deemed necessary. Contactless Payment is encouraged especially during this time.
